Keeping a Phenology Journal: Recording the Changing Seasons
In this creative nonfiction course, writers will cultivate a habit of turning their attention to the changing of the seasons by recording observations of the natural world right outside their doorstep. Through the practice of noticing changes in the plants, birds, daylight, and weather, students can expect to come away with two new essay starts and a toolbox of fresh techniques for writing about place, cycles, and their own human adaptations to change.
